Mozilla Firefox vs Google Chrome

Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are the web browsers that are making headlines in the modern world and each one of them trying to undo the other. Both of them are making releases aimed at enhancing services for the users. Chrome is taking advantage of Goggles automatic background update to unleash the new chrome 24 features to the public. Mozilla Firefox on the other hand, has gone public by releasing Firefox 18 which has features that are interesting.


Chrome is a website browser which comes with a sophisticated design to help users browse the web in a fast, safe and easy manner. It was designed to provide a lightning speed to all its users. Interface is easy to work with and some would say that it is even better than using an Internet Explorer. This is a Google project referred to as “Chromium” or “Chromium OS”. This browser comes with a fast ecosystem in terms the following; add-ons, JavaScript, extensions and development cycles.

This browser is really fast. Because this is powered by Google, it uses V8 JavaScript engine. This engine provides lightning speed when rendering a page. Firefox is said to be on the top of the browsers list. It renders an open browsing service to all its users. This browser continuously improves its features that it again ramped up its latest version when it comes to its Social API. It allows direct connection to different types of networks namely Facebook, MSN, and a lot more. The latest independent analysis shows that Firefox new JavaScript engine has addressed most of the complaint clients had with this browser. This has given the browser more preference especially by those who have used it before.

Because this is a full featured browser, it comes with diverse functions such as pop-up blocking design, simple privacy controls that can be used by anyone, tab-browsing capability, and even integrated Google search feature. One of its most attractive features is its “Do Not Track” feature which is perfect if users want privacy when browsing. In addition, it also has a “Track Me” and “Neutral” settings users can use depending on their preference.

It is not therefore easier to say with certainty that either Firefox or Chrome is on top since everything is dependent on the user and their preferences. There are those who believe chrome is cleaner in design and has a terrific speed with instant update capability. On the other hand, there are some users who still insist that Firefox is the most flexible search engines that can easily be customized and enjoyed by the user. So whatever is your verdict, it’s better to use something that you find easier to use.
